Unwanted

Unwanted

a Poem by Raquel Swann

When I reach for you

You repel

When I smile at you

You frown

When I try to talk to you

You become deaf

When I tell you who I am

You cringe

I’ve become an inconvenience

For your convenience

I am the problem

To your solution

I am the puddle

Caught in the burning sun

Evaporating into myself

Until I no longer exist.
