Suicidal
a Poem by Raquel Swann
Dedicated to Chris Cornell & Others Before Him
You bang your gavel
As the Judge, Jury. Executioner
You scoff at what you can’t
Comprehend.
Have you ever wandered alone
In the Abyss
Bereft of sunlight
As charred clouds hovered
Overhead for days,
Months,
Years,
Decades.
Call them cowards
If you dare
Sometimes the pain
Is too great
Point no fingers
Mind your tongue
And open your ears
To those who seem lost
In the wilderness.
Perhaps we can bring them
Home before it’s too late.
A very serious and relevant theme and a beautiful poem. Thank you for sharing Raquel
