One Last Time

One Last Time

a Poem by Raquel Swann

Fermenting

a foul stench which cannot be undone

Omitting

the inconsequential details we hid so well

Realistic

have we placed too much pressure on ourselves?

Guilt

our faces are stained with shame and remorse

Imagine

a life so painful without you by my side

Version

our recollections differ yet one thing remains

Excuses

let us cast them aside and start over – one last time.
