Cut
a Poem by Raquel Swann
Into unharmed flesh
you were scratched by
the vile claws of love
Tiny speckles of trust
seep out of the fresh wound.
Anger splits into the cut
as trust begins to leak
on to the floor.
Resentment ensues and
the gaping hole needs stitches.
With the onset of jealously
there is no return.
You’ve lost too much and,
from this you may never
recover.
It’s in that moment,
a part of you dies
forever.
Not even the best of us
can survive without trust.
Once we bleed out of trust it’s pretty much over. I love this.

Thank you. I’ve literally been deep diving into all my emotions today. You should love the next one! It will be posted in less than 10 minutes.

You are most welcome. Raquel. Steeping yourself in emotions is really the only true way to write. I look forward to it 🙂
