Transient

Transient

a Poem By Raquel Swann

I’m a roof tile clinging for dear life

Within the gale force winds of a hurricane

A wandering fly caught in a web

Buzzing my wings trying to break free

The slowest fish in the school and

A shark has descended upon us

I’m the bird singing so loudly

But I’ve caught the fancy of a hungry cat

Is there a way for me to last the night?
