Sailing
a Poem by Raquel Swann
Pain without tears
Is like
Trees without leaves
Flowers without pedals
Birds without wings
Daylight without sun
Darkness with no moon
The world without you
It just doesn’t seem right
I’m left to face these days
Wondering if you’d
Check in on me
From time to time
To see if I’m alright
I won’t be, I can’t be
In the end of my days
Will you be there by my bedside
To take me with you
Sailing the blue oceans
For the rest of time.
