One Small Change
a Poem by Raquel Swann
When history repeats itself
Look not into the eyes of fate
Casting blame onto others
Outcomes aren’t decided
As careless throws of dice
Waiting for a hard six
The wheels were in motion
Long before you noticed
Read through the pages
You wrote over and over
Text books without creases
Rewrite the future
Study the past
One small change
Can make a world of difference.
