Sight
a Poem by Raquel Swann
I walk amongst the millions
Disappearing into a crowd
Normal people
Wearing drab clothing
Dull eyes, pointless gazes
You never lose sight of me
An aura surrounds me
Through your magical telescope
You see me
I can’t blend with you watching
In a sea of grays and black
Pink emits from my soul
You trail me through
A maze of bodies
Until I’m stuck in a corner
Alone and afraid
You smile as if to say
“I understand.”
Perhaps you do.
When will I?
