No Words

No Words

a Poem by Raquel Swann

Words,

Bouncing off ceilings,

Collecting in corners,

Dusty musty words.

All those letters

Jumbled, crumbled

Scrambled, puzzled

Will not form at my lips

Into coherent speech.

What do I want?

Play scrabble with my mind,

Triple score-

If you can figure out what I can’t say.

Double letter if you use a “Q”

I possess all the letters,

Yet still have no words.
