a Poem by Raquel Swann
crawl inside myself,
waiting for a storm to pass
it’s been pouring for weeks
when will it pass?
So I think,
What if it never does?
Sadness settles in my heart,
As cloud after cloud appears,
I force a smile,
but the gray knows me too well.
Can’t fake my way out,
this time.
It’s not like it used to be.
I’d dance in the rain,
lighting didn’t scare me.
those days of invincibility
are long gone.
I cling tightly to familiar,
fear over life
life over death
death over hope
hopeless.
I absolutely loved the vivid description and the delightful imagery. Thank you for sharing such a wonderful post! According to your convenience please do read some of my writings would love to know what you think about them. 😊

Ah yes, my afternoon today until I woke up to something good in my email. Light shines through in unexpected times and it’s up to us to either turn towards it or shy away. Always turn towards it, trust in yourself.
